Hilarie Lambert

An award winning artist, Hilarie Lambert has been drawing for most of her life, beginning as a child in the Finger Lakes area of New York State and throughout her career as a graphic designer and illustrator for a major corporation. Her focus changed to painting after moving to Charleston and joining COPA (Charleston Outdoor Painters Association.)

Lambert states, "I am so lucky to live in this part of the country where I can be outside painting at least four times a week. Whether I'm hidden under an awning in the rain, or out on the beach painting, I strive to create an image that moves the viewer, entertains them maybe, and makes them look back again. I read somewhere that at no time will anyone stop by when your painting looks the best. Once you get over strangers looking over your shoulder, it is such a joy to be out there painting. Every time I am out painting a marsh, or a cityscape, I am overwhelmed with the luck I have to be in this business of painting!"
